Our client is a prominent Indian multinational banking and financial services company that provides an extensive range of banking products and financial solutions tailored for both corporate and retail clients. As one of India’s leading private sector banks, they have a wide-reaching presence across the country and abroad. They serve millions of retail and corporate customers through a robust network of over 5,000 branches and 15,000 ATMs. The bank is known for its comprehensive suite of financial products and services that include retail banking, corporate and investment banking, insurance, asset management, and digital banking offerings.
Aiming to reimagine customer experience and address legacy system challenges such as long turnaround times, low engagement, and high attrition, the bank wanted to introduce instant banking with fully digital onboarding and account opening.
To bring this vision to life, we collaborated with the client as their cloud orchestration partner. Niveus Solutions, Part of NTT DATA, leveraged modern cloud capabilities to deliver a seamless, secure, and instant banking experience with a cloud-based banking solution powered by a Progressive Web Application, driving large-scale digital transformation in the BFSI sector.

Our Solution
To help our client transform their customer onboarding experience and overcome challenges related to user experience, process inefficiencies, and fragmented product visibility, we at Niveus partnered with them to design a unified cloud-based banking solution that showcases all of their offerings in one place. Recognizing the need to move away from traditional, in-branch account-opening methods, we developed a secure and scalable Progressive Web Application hosted on Google Cloud Platform.
This solution was seamlessly integrated with the bank’s on-premises Core Banking APIs, enabling real-time processing and instant account creation. Through this application, customers can now open savings accounts and fixed deposits in under five minutes using just their PAN and Aadhaar (customer due diligence documents required in India), anytime, anywhere, and from any device. We also streamlined the onboarding journey by implementing automated verification tools such as V-KYC, document scanning and upload, and e-signatures, allowing immediate access to banking services.
With this cloud-first solution, we’ve empowered the bank to modernize its onboarding process, improve customer acquisition, and lay a strong digital foundation to enhance and expand future product offerings.

- 10x Increase in Online Banking Users: The platform drove a tenfold growth in the bank’s online banking customer base since its implementation.
- Over 600,000 Accounts Created in One Year: Digitization of the account opening process enabled the creation of more than 600,000 new accounts within 12 months. The bank consistently opens nearly 15,917 accounts every week, almost 1,959 accounts on a daily basis via the digital platform.
- 50 New Products Launched: Encouraged by platform success, the bank introduced 50 new products in the coming year.
