The client is one of India’s largest healthcare networks, with over 25 hospitals and 7,600+ beds across multiple cities. Supported by thousands of skilled professionals, it delivers quality care for millions annually, addressing diverse medical needs with advanced facilities.
They were looking for a near-real-time data analytics solution to overcome limitations in their existing technology stack. They needed a scalable, serverless data warehouse that could support the creation of analytical dashboards powered by up-to-date, accurate data.
We implemented BigQuery as a scalable data warehouse on Google Cloud, automated data pipelines, and built custom reports and dashboards in Looker to streamline data access, enhance analytics, and improve efficiency across the organization.

The Challenge
Key limitations impacting analytics effectiveness and data governance:
- No Scheduled Reporting: Reports required manual generation, delaying insights.
- Weak Data Security: Previous BI tools lacked proper access controls and safeguards.
- Fragmented Data Sources: Disparate systems made unified analysis difficult.
- Missing Data Warehouse: No centralized platform to support scalable reporting.
Our Solution
We set up BigQuery as a data warehouse in Google Cloud, which offered scalable and efficient storage for the company’s data. An automated data pipeline was created to transfer historical and ongoing data from the company’s CRM system (LeadSquared), which was previously stored in an AWS database, into BigQuery. We also recreated essential reports from the old system to ensure they are updated automatically with fresh data.
The project was broken into phases. In Phase 1, the focus was on getting the data into BigQuery by transferring 9 key data tables, making sure everything ran smoothly. In Phase 2, we created custom reports and dashboards in Looker, including special calculations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and added features that allowed secure access to data based on user roles. We also set up automated delivery of reports and tools to predict future sales and revenue.
In Phase 3, the focus shifted to creating performance dashboards that helped evaluate the quality of leads from external agencies and digital campaigns. This phase also included making the data access more flexible, so external vendors could view only the data that was relevant to them. This eliminated the need for report developers to manually create and share multiple reports every day.
