The client, founded in 1935 and headquartered in Singapore, is Southeast Asia’s third-largest bank, operating across key Asia-Pacific markets. We developed a GenAI-based chatbot to assist entrepreneurs in setting up businesses in Southeast Asia, focusing on Malaysia and Singapore. The chatbot retrieves information from client-provided documents, public websites, and the internet, delivering accurate responses to investment proposal queries. It also generates Foreign Direct Investment Advisory (FDIA) leads by analyzing website queries, streamlining customer support, and enhancing lead generation.
The Challenge
The client aimed to support startups expanding into Southeast Asia, focusing on the Malaysia and Singapore regions. They were looking to address diverse queries related to setting up a company in compliance with regional regulations in the SEA. However, the client relied on non-automated processes to identify market leads, which limited the breadth of correlation, the ability to summarize, and the ranking of leads using internal resources, third-party information, external URLs, and public internet searches. They wanted to automate these processes while bringing all advisors to the same level of professional competency.
To achieve this, they envisioned a chatbot capable of delivering accurate responses tailored to customer queries. The chatbot would retrieve information from a knowledge base comprising stored documents, the client’s website, and other publicly available online resources.
