Cloud Specialist by Day, Artist by Soul
From the quiet town of Hiriyadka, Shravya H is someone who brings balance and brilliance into everything she does. With an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College, Udupi, she now serves as a Cloud Specialist at Niveus Solutions. Her tech career is balanced by an equally powerful identity that of a classical dancer, teacher, poet, and multi-faceted creative spirit.
Shravya began her artistic journey at the age of four, but it truly took shape when she started formal Bharatanatyam training at the age of eight. Her creative hunger didn’t stop at dance; over the years, she explored Yakshagana, Chende, poetry, rangoli, singing, painting, and sketching, turning her artistic expression into a personal sanctuary. Most recently, she was awarded first place in the Udupi district-level Kannada poetry competition and is now headed to the state-level contest.
Shravya has graced over a thousand stages and received numerous notable honors along the way. She was selected as a B-grade artist by Doordarshan, earned a merit scholarship from the Karnataka Sangeetha Nritya Academy in 2018, and was presented the Krishnanugraha Award by Paryaya Sri Pejawara Swamiji in 2019. Yet, for Shravya, it’s never been about the accolade; it’s about staying connected to her purpose.
Mayura Dance Group: From Family Dream to Living Legacy
In 2006, Shravya’s father planted the seed of what would later become her proudest venture, the Mayura Dance Group. By 2016, she officially launched Mayura Nruthya Kalaa Shaale, where she now trains young dancers, preparing them for exams and performances. Teaching children under ten wasn’t easy. It challenged her patience, empathy, and creativity, but it also transformed her into a stronger leader and learner.
Balance Redefined: Living in the Moment
For Shravya, balance isn’t about perfect scheduling; it’s about being fully present in every role. Whether she’s coding during the day or choreographing in the evening, she gives her best to each moment. There have been days when rehearsals clashed with work meetings. Still, through open communication with her managers, adaptable routines, and intense inner motivation, she’s been able to carry both identities gracefully.
